
CFC suspends MXN 91.5 mln Telmex fine

Mexico's antitrust regulator CFC has suspended a fine of MXN 91.5 million (approximately USD 7.8 million) on Mexican fixed-line operator Telmex for denying GTM, a Telefonica subsidiary, the right to interconnect with its network. The fine was imposed on 1 June. The CFC has now admitted the appeal field by Carlos Slim's company, El Universal reports. Mexico's Federal Competition Commission (CFC) has 30 days to analyze Telmex's motion for reconsideration, based on an investigation that may lead to the ratification, modification of cancellation of the fine.
