CFC probes monopolistic practices on triple-play market

Mexico's antitrust regulator CFC has launched another investigation into monopolistic practices in the markets for cable TV, fixed-line phone and broadband internet services. The investigation will be carried out for a period ranging between 30 and 120 days. Mexico's Federal Competition Commission (CFC) released no details related to the companies involved or the operator who filed the complaint that generated the launch of the investigation. The probe follows a previous CFC investigation, launched on 1 June, into monopolistic practices on the local fixed telecoms services market.
