Microsoft adds YouTube, voice search to Xbox

Microsoft announced plans to expand TV services available on its Xbox gaming console. The company already works with TV providers such as Sky in the UK, Foxtel in Australia and Canal+ in France to offer live TV over the Xbox Live service. At the E3 gaming conference, Microsoft announced its commitment to expand access to live television programming on Xbox 360 to more providers in the US and around the world during the upcoming year. No further details were announced, apart from an agreement to bring the Ultimate Fighting Championship channel to Xbox. Microsoft also wants to boost on-demand content, and announced a deal to bring YouTube to Xbox Live. To make it easier to find content, the company introduced voice search for Bing on the Xbox. Bing on Xbox searches Netflix, Hulu Plus and ESPN, as well as music, video and Xbox Live offerings. Microsoft also unveiled new games for the Xbox at E3, such as Gears of War 3, Forza Motorsport 4, Minecraft and Halo 4.
