Netflix is introducing in Vietnam a free plan that will let anyone with an Android phone access its video streaming service for free, without any ads. Vietnam is the only country in Asia where Netflix is trying this at the moment, and the second one to experience the free plan, after Kenya.
Once registered, end-users can immediately start watching many of Netflix’s most popular series and films like Squid Game, The Witcher, Money Heist, and Kingdom, to name a few.
They can also access Netflix features such as recommendations tailored to their taste, create up to five profiles (including kids’) for everyone in their house, and add shows and movies to ‘My List’ to watch later. In the coming months, the download feature will also be made available in the free plan so that they can watch their favorite Netflix shows while on the go and even without an internet connection.
For those with children at home, they can access parental controls like maturity settings for age-appropriate entertainment, profile PINs to lock off access to one or all profiles and the ability to monitor what their little ones have been watching.
