OnePlus suspends sales in Europe as demand exceeds supply

Thursday 4 August 2016 | 10:38 CET | News
OnePlus announced that it's suspending sales of its new OnePlus 3 smartphone in Europe for a month, due to overwhelming demand. Sales will be suspended from 09 August until 12 September, also in Hong Kong. OnePlus said that since the launch of the new phone in June, when it stopped requiring an invite to purchase the device, the OnePlus 3 has sold faster than any of its previous phones. Especially in Europe, sales "have been way better than what we expected". As a result it needs time to scale up its production and replenish its inventory.
