
Orange CEO Stephane Richard has enlarged the group’s executive committee, bringing the number of members to fifteen, in a bid to create a more diversified and international team. Alongside this change, effective from 02 May, Richard has formed a management board, meeting every two months, which will consist of the executive committee and an additional nine members holding high-ranking roles across the group. In addition, there are new responsibilities for several existing members of the group executive committee.
The enlarged fifteen-strong executive committee includes the following seven new members:
• Laurent Paillassot is promoted to group deputy CEO, in addition to his role at the helm of Orange Spain (the Group’s second largest country in terms of revenues).
• Hugues Foulon has been named executive director in charge of group strategy and cybersecurity activities.
• Nicolas Guerin has become from 01 March group general secretary, replacing Pierre Louette. He is also responsible for the Legal, Regulatory, Public Affairs, Insurance, Real Estate and Compliance departments.
• Valerie Le Boulanger will replace Jerome Barre as executive director in charge of human resources. In turn, Barre is named CEO of Wholesale and International Networks, a new division embracing all wholesale activities in France and internationally, as well as roaming.
• Alioune Ndiaye has been appointed CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa, replacing Bruno Mettling (named non-executive chairman of Orange Middle East and Africa).
• Helmut Reisinger is promoted to CEO of Orange Business Services, replacing Thierry Bonhomme.
• A soon to be named executive will join Orange over the coming weeks to take charge of Orange Bank and Orange Money.
The nine executives named to the management board include three members with new responsibilities. Jerome Henique is appointed COO of Orange Middle East and Africa. Marc Rennard becomes CEO of Orange Digital Investment. Jean-Marc Vignolles takes responsibility for the European operations outside France and Spain as COO.
Among the group’s existing executive committee members, Fabienne Dulac and Mari-Noelle Jego-Laveissiere are promoted to the role of group deputy CEO. Jego-Laveissiere will also manage a new division called Technology and Global Innovation, in charge of different transversal projects, alongside the group’s research activities. Ramon Fernandez takes over the supervision of the group’s operations in Europe, excluding France and Spain, while seeing his main remit change to Finance and Performance (previously Finance and Strategy).
