Orange steps up LTE rollout, Marseille to be first - CEO

Orange France has accelerated its LTE rollout schedule by six to twelve months, group CEO Stephane Richard told Le Monde. The first city to have LTE will be Marseille, with 150 base station pilot network planned for June. Four more cities will be equipped within twelve months and the operator's first commercial offers will be introduced at the start of 2013. Richard said that Orange has chosen to differentiate itself on the basis of a faster mobile service, which explains why it is not completely aligned with market prices.
