
Polish digital platforms n and Cyfra+ to merge

ITI announced that its TV group TVN will merge its subsidiary ITI Neovision, owner of the digital TV platform n, with rival Cyfra+, part of the Canal+ group. TVN will receive a minority share in the merged company. The DTH TV provider created through the merger will have more than 2.5 million customers, making it a stronger competitor to market leader Cyfrowy Polsat. Canal+ also plans to purchase a minority stake in the ITI company N-Vision, which indirectly holds a 51 percent stake in the TVN Group. Canal+ will receive an option to purchase in future the rest of the controlling share in TVN from ITI.
