
RIM sets BlackBerry 10 launch for 30 January

Research In Motion announced that its long-awaited BlackBerry 10 operating system will launch on 30 January 2013. The new software will launch in several countries that day, while RIM will also hold an event to unveil the first two BlackBerry 10 smartphones. Further details on when the phones will reach shops were not announced. RIM recently announced that it has started testing the new devices with mobile operators. It has also been working with developers for several months to ensure a range of applications are available for BlackBerry 10 at launch.
