Samsung delays launch of Galaxy Fold as it investigates glitches
Samsung has confirmed it will be delaying the launch of its new Galaxy Fold, unveiled in February. Sales were set to being from 26 April but glitches were reported from early reviewers. Samsung had said it would check out the problems but still keep its planned launch dates. That will no longer be the case.

The cancellation of the Galaxy Fold launch event in China was first reported by Sam Mobile, which said the company first blamed the decision on a last minute issue with the venue, according to sources. Other launch-related activities were then also cancelled.

The company confirmed the news in a note. No further details were given however. Samsung only said it will “announce the release date in the coming weeks.”

The Fold was unveiled on 21 February to great fanfare. The mobile device is designed as a tablet that can be folded into a small smartphone. The phone was set to retail for a recommended price of USD 1,980.
