Samsung launches Artik platform for IoT development

Samsung Electronics announced a new platform for developing consumer and industrial applications of the Internet of Things, called Artik. The Artik line will include integrated production-ready modules, software, development boards, drivers, tools, security features and cloud connectivity. At an event in San Francisco, Samsung showed the first three Artik modules. Artik 1, which Samsung claims is the smallest IoT module on the market at 12x12mm, combines Bluetooth/BLE connectivity and a nine-axis sensor. It is specifically designed for low-power, small form- factor IoT applications. Artik 5
