Samsung sees 10 mln Galaxy S III sold by July

Samsung expects strong sales of the Galaxy S III to help its mobile phone profits surpass the record result reported in the first quarter. "We're getting far better feedback on the model overseas than what we experienced with the Galaxy S II," J.K. Shin, head of the company's mobile-phone business, said at a briefing in Seoul. Shin forecast the Galaxy S III will probably sell faster than its predecessors and pass 10 million units by July, Bloomberg reported. The model went on sale 25 June in South Korea after being introduced in the US on 21 June. The company sold more than 50 million units of the previous two Galaxy S models globally in the past two years.
