Serbian govt extends deadline for revised Telekom Srbija bid
Telekom Austria Group has confirmed that it has been informed by the Ministry of Finance of Serbia that the deadline for submitting a revised bid for a 51 percent stake in Telekom Srbija has been extended to 03 May. This is the result of ongoing negotiations and the need to submit additional information. Telekom Austria submitted an initial conditional offer for the 51 percent stake on 21 March. This included the payment of an equity value of EUR 800 million-EUR 950 million, plus a EUR 450 million capex commitment.

Telekom Srbija reports FY net profit up 27.6%

The Telekom Srbija group, made up of Telekom Srbija, Telekom Srpske and m:tel Crna Gora, achieved a net profit in 2010 of RSD 17 billion, representing growth of 27.6 percent compared to 2009. Telekom Austria is looking to swap its Serbian mobile operator Vip with Deutsche Telekom in order to gain control of the bigger operator Telekom Srbija.
