SpaceX has sent the third batch of satellites in its Starlink fleet into space. The 60 small satellites were launched aboard its Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral in Florida, and the company succeeded in recovering the rocket at sea after the launch.
The Falcon 9 first stage booster was also used on SpaceX's first Starlink mission in May. The latest satellites were sent to an orbit of around 290 km and will use on-board thrusters to move into their exact position.
The company plans a fleet of up to 42,000 small satellites to deliver global internet connectivity. It has previously said services could start as early as mid-2020 in the US.
