Spotify and Hulu have extended their partnership beyond an offer for students to bundle their music and TV streaming services in a single plan open to anyone. Last summer they launched Spotify Premium bundled with Hulu's TV service with limited ads for USD 4.99 per month for students. The new plan open to anyone costs USD 12.99 per month, compared to a standard price for the separate services of USD 9.99 and USD 7.99.
The new offer is available initially to existing Spotify Premium subscribers only. They will pay an introductory promotional price of USD 0.99 for the first three months of Hulu, before the standard price for the bundled services of USD 12.99 kicks in. The same as the student offer, the new plan is provided with a single bill.
Spotify said the student offer was "incredibly well received". The companies plan to expand the joint offer to people not subscribing yet to Spotify from this summer.
