Swiss operators unite in bid for sports rights

Monday 25 April 2016 | 12:17 CET | News
The association of Swiss fibre network operators Suissedigital announced plans to bid for live sports rights on behalf of its members. The group counts nearly 200 members serving 2.5 million customers around the country, including operators such as UPC Cablecom, Quickline and Net+. The group said its members offer "unbeatable" coverage for sports leagues looking to extend their pay-TV reach. No details were provided on the specific rights they target or how the costs of the rights will be shared.
