Telecom removes signage, prepares name change to Spark

Telecom New Zealand has started to remove its signage ahead of its name change to Spark. Telecom estimates the rebranding investments will reach NZD 20 million. The project involves swapping out Telecom branding in its 100 stores and on a similar number of online services, changing the livery on 135 vehicles and removing 186 building signs, local newspaper Stuff reports, citing Telecom New Zealand spokesman Jason Paris. Telecom branding in 190 Countdown supermarkets and other partner stores will be changed to Spark on 8 August.

However, Telecom's brand will be replaced in all dairies and service stations by the end of this month. The last of Telecom’s 2700 phone boxes will be changed to Spark in October, Paris said.

Telecom’s rebranding project covers 3 public-facing websites; 29 business hubs; 71 stores; 100 online system changes; 135 vehicles; 186 exterior building sign; 197 supermarket locations; 400 partner stores; 2700 phone boxes; and 8000 signs in dairies, service stations etc.
