Telenor Denmark introduces MaxSpeed gigabit home broadband at DKK 249

Telenor Denmark said it has launched a new range of broadband services under the name MaxSpeed. This will offer more than 966,600 homes internet service at up to 1 Gbps at DKK 249 (EUR 33) per month. It said the service does not include expensive television packages, which more and more people are deciding to avoid.

MaxSpeed is free to set up and there is no commitment period. The operator said MaxSpeed will be available to customers on TDC's coaxial cable TV network.

After Telenor's agreements last year with Eniig (now Norlys) and Nord Energi, 450,000 residences on Eniig's fibre network will be able to get Telenor broadband from spring 2020, and 120,000 home customers on Nord Energi fibre in late summer.

As well as these lines, Telenor offers services to 200,000 in the Copenhagen district via TDC’s fibre network. Prices there are a little higher, as wholesale costs are more and vary from one fibre provider to another.
