Telenor to drop Bibob brand in Denmark
Telenor Denmark announced plans to drop its Bibob brand and merge the activities with its unit CBB. The merger is planned to take effect 22 February. Bibob's existing customers will be able to continue under the same service plans and keep the same Sim cards. Both brands already share the same customer service and IT platforms and use Telenor's mobile network. Bibob's customers can use the same log-in to access CBB's online service portal.

Telenor bought CBB in 2004 and Bibob in 2009. The decision to rationalise its brands on the Danish market follows the attempt to merge its mobile business with Telia last year, a proposal rejected by regulatory authorities. Earlier this month the Danish company created the new post of strategy and transformation director, filled by former AT Kearney consultant and Vodafone manager Thomas Byrge Sorensen.
