Telstra to launch TV streaming service with Roku

Australian operator Telstra has teamed up with streaming TV and radio set-top box company Roku to launch Telstra TV, a streaming service for Australian customers. Telstra will initially provide customers with three subscription video on demand services - Presto, Stan and Netflix, alongside a selection of TV catch up services and new release movies from Australian online movie rental store BigPond Movies.

Telstra TV will add to Telstra's existing entertainment services, which include TBox and Foxtel from Telstra products. Telstra TV is schedule for commercial launch in September this year. Pricing and content details will be released closer to launch.
