Twitter quietly confirms Twitter Blue paid subscription service

Twitter has quietly confirmed the existence of a paid subscription service, 9to5Mac reported. On its iOS App Store, the company said the app has an in-app purchase called “Twitter Blue” that also confirmed the rumored price of USD 2.99 per month in the US.

The new service does not yet seem available yet to users but some of its features have come to light, namely a range of colour schemes, and the possibility for subscribers of organizing their favourite tweets. People will also be able to quicky undo tweets, and have access to a Read Mode that turns long threads into “easy-to-read text.” The service is not yet available to users however and Twitter has not indicated when it will be introduced.

Separately, Twitter has announced Super Follow, which lets users pay to access tweets, fleets, and other exclusive content from creators. There is also a new Tip Jar feature to support content creators directly through their profiles or Live Spaces.
