Vivendi confirms Bollore as chairman
Vivendi's supervisory board has approved Vincent Bollore as the company's new chairman. Bollore, who holds around 5 percent of Viendi's shares, was first proposed as chairman last November, when Vivendi decided to exit the telecoms business in order to focus on its media assets.

The company's AGM earlier named Philippe Benacin, Katie Jacobs Stanton and Virginie Morgon as new members of the supervisory board as well. The board counts 13 members, including an employee shareholder representative, and will shortly be joined by an additional member representing the group's employees, in accordance with French law. Pierre Rodocanachi was named vice-chairman of the board, and Jean-Rene Fourtou, who has chaired the group since 2002, becomes honorary chairman.

The supervisory board also appointed three members of the management board: Arnaud de Puyfontaine (chairman, replacing Jean-Francois Dubos), Herve Philippe (CFO) and Stephane Roussel.
