Vodafone Spain to launch IPTV services for ADSL subs

Vodafone Spain plans to launch a service dubbed Vodafone Internet TV by year-end. The service will enable Vodafone's ADSL service subscribers to access DTT channels and content via their internet connection. Service users will also be able to play multimedia content on their TV set, ADSL Zone reports, citing Vodafone Spain president Francisco Roman. To support the service, Vodafone will offer the Huawei HG553 device, enabling Wi-Fi connections between various home devices. Users will thus be able to send content downloaded from the internet, including movies or music, directly to the decoder.
