Vodafone and Unitymedia have bundled their offers of fixed and mobile products in 600 shops in North Rhine-Westphalia, Hessen and Baden-Wurttemberg, another step towards a full integration after the completion of their merger.
Customers with a Unitymedia internet connection and without a Vodafone mobile contract can use a coupon code to receive a free MiFi R218 wireless router with SIM and 100 GB of data to surf on the Vodafone network at LTE speeds. After using up the data or its expiry, the SIM card can continue to be used by paying from EUR 2.99 for 1GB to EUR 24.99 for 25 GB without one-off fee or monthly fixed price. The number of routers is limited to around 100,000 pieces.
Unitymedia customers who have already signed a Vodafone mobile contract will receive an additional 100 GB of high-speed data for 12 months for smartphone use. Unitymedia customers with an internet connection with a basic price of at least EUR 29.95 who purchase a new Vodafone Red or Young tariff receive 5 GB of additional data on their smartphone every month over the entire contract period.
The Red and Young tariffs include 5G for free. In addition, Vodafone reduces the monthly basic price of the Young tariffs by EUR 10. Vodafone customers will be able to switch to the Unitymedia cable connection where available in North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse and Baden-Württemberg without extra costs for provision, hardware, logistics or number porting.
