Altice completes acquisition of PT Portugal
Brazilian operator Oi has announced that the sale by Oi of all shares issued by PT Portugal to Altice Portugal became effective on 02 June. Altice Portugal disbursed the total amount of EUR 5.789 billion for the acquisition of PT Portugal, of which EUR 4.920 billion were paid in cash to Oi and EUR 869 million were allocated to immediately repay outstanding indebtedness of PT Portugal in euros. The final purchase price is subject to post-closing adjustments to be calculated within the next months as a result of changes in the cash, indebtedness and working capital positions on the closing date. French telecom holding company Altice said had now closed the EUR 7.4 billion acquisition of Portugal Telecom's assets in Portugal.

Altice grows Q2 EBITDA 13% on French improvement

Altice reported second-quarter revenues down 2.0 percent from a year earlier to EUR 3.906 billion. Revenues in its largest market France fell 2.5 percent to EUR 2.775 billion, and revenues elsewhere declined 0.6 percent to EUR 1.131 billion. Altice plans contact centre in Castelo Branco

French company Altice is negotiating with the municipality of Castelo Branco in Portugal over the installation of a contact centre in the business district of the city, with the potential to hire 200 employees. Altice chooses Perella to advise on Cabovisao, Oni sale

France's Altice has selected Perella Weinberg as financial advisor on the planned sale of Portuguese operators Cabovisao and Oni, reports Diário Economico. Perella Weinberg had worked with the French company on the purchase of PT Portugal. Cabovisao was purchased for EUR 45 million and Altice hopes to sell it for up to EUR 300 million.
