Amazon signs former Top Gear presenters for new show
Amazon has signed up Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May to make a new car show available exclusively to Amazon Prime members. The show will be produced by their long-term producer Andy Williams. Under the terms of the global TV deal, the team have committed to three seasons, with the first season going into production soon. Bezos says Clarkson show 'very expensive' but worth it

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos told the Sunday Telegraph that it will be "very, very, very expensive" to launch a new car show fronted by Jeremy Clarkson and his former BBC Top Gear co-stars. Bezos expects the show to be a global success in a context he describes as a golden era of TV. He said Amazon had a lot of programming in the pipeline that UK viewers and others around the world will love. He refused to say how much Clarkson and his co-presenters were being paid.
