Asus has released a new series of smartphones. The Zenfone 8 range features a more compact flagship model and an update of its flip-camera phone.
The Zenfone 8 is designed for easy one-handed use, with a 5.9-inch Samsung Amoled display with 120 Hz refresh rate. It runs the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor, Android 11 and a 4,000 mAh battery and comes with a pro-grade camera system with Sony's flagship IMX686 64 MP image sensor and ultra-wide lens.
Available in black, silver or white, the Zenfone 8 comes with IP65/68 water and dust resistance. RAM ranges from 6 to 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory, with UFS3.1 storage at 64, 128 or 256 GB. Audio support includes an FM radio, dual speakers with Dirac HD sound and a 3.5mm headphone jack with Hi-Res audio at 384 khz. Wi-Fi 6E is also supported where available, as well as dual Sims.
The Zenfone 8 Flip brings back Asus's pop-up revolving camera design. It comes with the same Qualcomm processor as the Zenfone 8 and a larger 6.7-inch display with 92 percent screen-to-body ratio. The camera adds a third 8-megapixel telephoto lens with up to 3x optical zoom, and the phone also gets a bigger 5,000 mAh battery and triple-Sim slot for adding a memory card.
