Austria Constitutional Court rejects spectrum auction appeal
T-Mobile Austria confirmed that the Constitutional Court has rejected complaints filed by the company and rival 3 Austria against the results of the mobile spectrum auction in autumn 2013. The court ruled that the auction possibly violated ordinary laws, but did not violate constitutional law. T-Mobile Austria's General Counsel, Klaus Steinmaurer, said that this ruling did not affect proceedings before the Administrative Court.

Hutchison Drei Austria (3 Austria) has announced the addition of Uber, app provider which connects riders to drivers, as a new business customers. Uber is currently using several hundred 3 SIM cards with inclusive data package, and plans to expand this number significantly by end-2014. Austrian mobile service revenues drop 6.2% in Q4 after termination rate cut

The reduction in mobile termination rates in Austria in November 2013 led to a 6.2 percent drop in mobile service revenues during the fourth quarter of 2013. Compared to Q4 2012, mobile service revenues fell 12.2 percent, to EUR 587 million. T-Mobile Austria clarifies reports of price increases

T-Mobile Austria has issued a statement clarifying recent press reports that the operator and subsidiary tele.ring were increasing fees for existing customers. T-Mobile said that the reports were not entirely correct and that it was only adjusting rates in line with inflation for selected tariffs. Tariff prices were rising by 2 percent in line with the Consumer Index provided by Statistik Austria. This will be applied on bills in May and customers will be informed with their April statements.
