Austria court rejects T-Mobile appeal over spectrum auction

The Austrian Administrative Court rejected the appeal of T-Mobile against the results of the LTE frequency auction in 2013. The case is now final, with no further appeal possible. T-Mobile appealed the auction due to the high prices that resulted for 4G spectrum licences. 3 Austria had also appealed, but withdrew its complaint last summer. Infrastructure minister Alois Stoeger was pleased with the ruling, which paves the way for the government to devote EUR 1 billion from the proceeds to investment in broadband expansion.
