CEO Schulte-Bockum to leave Vodafone Germany
Jens Schulte-Bockum, CEO of Vodafone Germany, announced plans to resign during the course of this financial year. He will continue to manage the company until a successor has been found. Schulte-Bockum started at Vodafone as Group Strategy Director in 2003. Before he moved to Germany in April 2012, he was CEO at Vodafone Netherlands. At Vodafone Germany, Schulte-Bockum promoted Vodafone's convergence strategy by acquiring Kabel Deutschland. He also pushed for an accelerated LTE expansion, and managed to increase the amount of LTE users on the Vodafone network.

Kabel Deutschland announced that its supervisory board has elected Dirk Barnard as the new chairmen effective 1 July. Jens Schulte-Bockum and Annet Aris resigned from their positions on the supervisory board. Kabel Deutschland applied with the commercial register to appoint by court Ingrid Haas and Christoph Clement from parent company Vodafone Germany as new members of the supervisory board.

Telekom Austria CEO moves to Vodafone Germany

Vodafone Germany announced the appointment of Hannes Ametsreiter as its new CEO from 1 October. The supervisory board will decide on the proposal at its next board meeting on 30 June. In addition to his position as CEO, Ametsreiter is due to be appointed to the worldwide Executive Committee of the Vodafone Group. Cubero named interim CEO and new CCO at Vodafone Germany

Vodafone Germany has named Manuel Cubero as spokesperson for management from 01 July until a new CEO is appointed to replace Jens Schulte-Bockum. who will withdraw from this position on 30 June. Chairman Philipp Humm suggested creating a permanent position for a Chief Commercial Officer, which Cubero is intended to fill. Spanish-born Cubero has been part of the management since April 2014, and is responsible for Consumer Fixed & Cable, and chairman of Kabel Deutschland Holding.

Vodafone Germany loses 572,000 mobile customers in Q4

Vodafone Germany saw the drop in its mobile customer base accelerate in the last quarter of the year, losing a net 572,000 customers for a total 30.943 million. Quarterly service revenue fell 3.1 percent on an organic basis, as growth at cable operator Kabel Deutschland helped offset the weaker mobile results. Vodafone said the mobile price reductions in the prior year continued to penetrate the consumer customer base. Vodafone Germany starts VoLTE, to show 5G progress at CeBIT

Vodafone Germany launched its Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services as the CeBIT trade fair in Hanover was about to open. It is the first operator in the country to bring out this service. The service should initiate the call within two seconds and provide clear sound quality calls. Vodafone's 4G network now covers 40 percent of the country. Vodafone Germany board extends CEO contract

Vodafone Germany's supervisory board has agreed to extend the contract of CEO Jens Schulte-Bockum by three additional years until 31 March 2018. The extension was approved unanimously. His contract was originally due to expire at end-March 2015. In addition, the Board approved the appointment of Andreas Siemen as the new CFO with immediate effect.

Schulte-Bockum joins Vodafone Germany as COO from April

Vodafone Germany's supervisory board has appointed Jens Schulte-Bockum as Chief Operating Officer (COO) with effect from 01 April. The Board also approved the proposed changes to CEO, with Schulte-Bockum taking over from Fritz Joussen as CEO from 01 October. Joussen had led Vodafone Germany as COO and CEO for almost ten years. Vodafone said that the changes were were planned to ensure business continuity, and provide assurances for workers and partners.

Vodafone Netherlands confirmed its CEO Jens Schulte-Bockum is moving to sister company Vodafone Germany.
