
The US's largest ISP, Comcast has increased its top internet speed to 3 Gbps, a 50 percent boost from the previous top tier of 2 Gbps. The 3 Gbps broadband service is available only in areas where the cable operator has rolled out FTTH.
The residential Gigabit Pro service still costs USD 300 per month, with a minimum two-year contract. The fibre coverage is available mainly on the West Coast of the US as well as selected large cities in other regions.
