Eir considers sale of mobile towers; Cellnex one of potential buyers - report

Irish telecoms company Eir is seeking a buyer for its wireless infrastructure assets, reports Bloomberg.

According to unnamed sources with knowledge of the matter, Eir is working with an adviser to evaluate any interest in its towers, with Brookfield Asset Management and Spain's Cellex understood to be among the potential bidders.

Eir is controlled by billionaire Xavier Niel, and his other telecoms companies have also sold their assets. Iliad and Salt Mobile both agreed to sell their towers to Cellnex in 2019.
