German court prohibits Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales

The state court in Duesseldorf upheld an injunction sought by Apple barring Samsung from selling its Galaxy 10.1 tablets in Germany, according to local media reports. The injunction does not prevent retailers from selling the device if they are getting rid of existing stock or obtaining new supplies from Samsung International. Judge Johanna Brueckner-Hoffmann said the overall impression of the tablet was too similar to the design of Apple's iPad. Samsung can appeal. The two companies have been in court about smartphone and tablet patents since April.
