Google Glass launches in UK
The Google Glass augmented reality glasses are now on sale in the UK, the first country outside the US to get the product. UK residents can get a demonstration of the product in London 27-28 June and buy the glasses online from Google's UK website. The company is still offering the beta version of Glass, through its so-called Explorer programme, which costs GBP 1,000 in the UK.

Google is to acquire the product-design company Gecko Design, according to Bloomberg. Meer geheugen voor Google Glass

Via een update is het intern geheugen van Google Glass verdubbeld naar 2GB. De uitbreiding moet er vooral voor zorgen dat meer apps simultaan kunnen draaien en dat apps sneller opstarten. Ook voerde Google verbeteringen door in het cameragebruik op Google Glass. Germans show strong interest in smart glasses - survey

Almost one third (31%) of Germans aged 14+ could envisage themselves using a device like Google Glass, according to a survey by Aris for ICT industry group Bitkom. This equates to 22 million people. One in eight (13%) people said they would definitely use such glasses no matter what. Almost half (48%) of Germans have heard of smart glasses, up from 27 percent a year earlier.
