Huawei sues Samsung for patent infringement
Huawei Technologies has filed patent suits against Samsung Electronics in the US and China after the two weren’t able to reach a licensing deal over the use of mobile network technology. In lawsuits filed in federal court in San Francisco and the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court, Huawei claims Samsung's phones infringes patents related to 4G industry standards. 

Huawei said it seeks compensation for Samsung’s infringement of Huawei’s intellectual property. Huawei said it offered to charge Samsung a fair and reasonable rate but Samsung refuses to pay. Samsung said its reviewing the complaint and will take appropriate action to defend its interests.

Huawei wins damages from Samsung in Chinese patent case

A Chinese court has ordered Samsung Electronics to pay CNY 80 million (USD 11.60 million) in damages to Huawei Technologies for patent infringement, reports Reuters. Three units of Samsung have been ordered by the Quanzhou Intermediary Court to pay the sum for infringing a patent held by Huawei Device Co Limited, the handset unit of Huawei, according to the Quanzhou Evening News, a government-run newspaper. The verdict is the first in several lawsuits brought by Huawei against Samsung.

Huawei files patent lawsuit against T-Mobile US
