
US carriers T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and US Cellular announced they are offering Motorola's new Moto Z2 Force Edition smartphone. This is a new edition of the Moto Z2 launched last month, offering a stronger body and a screen "guaranteed not to crack or shatter", according to the manufacturer. It's also compatible with the snap-on Moto Mods and will support gigabit LTE speeds.
The smartphone will be available on pre-order from 25 July and in stores from 10 August. The capability to achieve gigabit LTE speeds will be added to the Moto Z2 through a maintenance release at a later date. The phone can be combined with Moto Mods to add stereo speakers, a 360-degrees camera, projector and more battery life.

T-Mobile customers can get two Moto Z2 Force Edition smartphones for the price of one after a rebate and paying USD 30 down and USD 30 a month for 24 months. The device is available starting from 25 July with 24-month finance agreements on both devices.
AT&T said the smartphone is the first device to come ready with the DirecTV Now app, providing AT&T Unlimited Plus and AT&T Unlimited Choice customers with access to their favorite shows for as little as USD 10 more a month, after a USD 25 per month video credit. Verizon customers who preorder their Motorola Z2 Force Edition get it for USD 15 per month for 24 months on Verizon device payment (USD 756 retail; 0 percent APR) when activated on Verizon Unlimited. The Moto GamePad is available for pre-order for USD 79.99. All other Moto Mods will become available soon to Verizon customers, the operator said.
Sprint is offering the Moto Z2 for USD 0 down and USD 33 per month with 18 Sprint Flex lease payments (USD 792 SRP).
US Cellular will offer the mobile device combined with U.S. Cellular's Total Plans with unlimited data starting for as low as USD 40 per line per month for four lines.
