Motorola has released a new model in its Android One series, targeting photographers. The Motorola Action One features a triple camera, including a 117-degree wide angle lens to capture live video, as well as the ability to shoot landscape photos while holding the device vertically. The phone is launching first in Brazil, Mexico and parts of Europe, for a recommended price of EUR 259/BRL 1,799.
In addition to the wide-angle lens and enhanced video stabilisation for action filming, the phone comes with a main 12-megapixel camera with PDAF and f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel depth camera for creating bokeh effects. The Action One features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with CinemaVision (21:9) aspect ratio to enhance viewing of the wide-angle images.
Other features include an octa-core processor, 3,500 mAh battery, 128 GB internal storage and a card slot for up to 512 GB additional storage. Sales will expand in the next month to more countries in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific, and the Motorola One Action will launch unlocked in the US and Canada in early October.
