Oculus has launched its new TV service for owners of an Oculus Go. First announced at the Facebook developers conference F8 in May, the service allows Oculus Go users to watch live and on-demand streaming services such as Hulu, Netflix and Showtime on a virtual screen.
Existing Oculus Go owners need to download the Oculus TV app to access the video services. All new sales of the Oculus Go will include the app pre-installed.
Oculus said it plans to add more content to the service going forward, including ESPN soon. Other video providers already available include Neverthink, Newsy, Pluto TV, Red Bull TV and Facebook Watch.
Oculus also confirmed that the Go is now available for purchase in Europe and Canada. It's available online and at more than 300 stores across Europe, the UK, and Canada, including CoolBlue, Amazon, Fnac, Darty, Currys PC World, Argos, MediaMarket, Saturn, Digitec and Best Buy Canada.
