
Tele2 Russia to start services in Moscow in H2 2015

Mobile operator Tele2 Russia plans to start providing its services in the Moscow region in the second half of 2015. The operator is currently carrying out preparatory work, including deploying the network, hiring premises and negotiating with partners on a distribution network. Tele2 Russia, according to the strategy approved by its shareholders, plans to launch 3G and LTE networks also in the Voronezh, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny-Novgorod, Omsk, Perm, Rostov, St Petersburg and Chelyabinsk regions in 2015. Most of the LTE networks will be launched on the 1,800 MHz bands, following Russia's adoption of the technology-neutral principle.
