Telefonica Germany targets 5% cumulative revenue growth in 2020-2022

Telefonica Germany has adopted a growth strategy with the goal of achieving cumulative revenue growth of 5 percent in the period 2020-2022, according to the company's corporate responsibility report.  To achieve the goal, Telefonica focuses on winning over business customers by upgrading its infrastructure, building up mobile and fixed-line products and supporting growth in mobile communication business. 

The company will increase investment in its network by 30 percent over the next few years compared with 2019. The investments will be made in particular to expand the network. It has already installed 11,300 4G elements, including 7,300 covering territory previously not covered by 4G. Another 4,000 4G transmitters were installed throughout Germany, too. Telefonica will also deploy more 5G sites in the frequency band 3.6 GHz to provide 30 percent of the population with 5G by the end of 2021 and half of the population by 2022. It plans to install 50,000 km of fibre-optic network in the next six years.
