Telstra's 4GX network reaches 1 million customers

Telstra reports that nearly one million Telstra customers across Australia now access its 4GX services. The operator's 4GX network has been extended to over 1,000 towns and suburbs. In the last week of December 2014, Telstra launched 4GX services in 600 new towns and suburbs, including holiday destinations and beachside suburbs. On average, around 20 - 30 percent of 4G traffic in a 4GX area moves to the new service, Telstra said. The operator's 4G coverage now reaches 90 percent of the Australian population, and the figure is expected to rise to 94 percent by mid-2015.
