Tesla to add Disney+ to car streaming services

Tesla will soon add Disney+ to the list of available streaming services drivers can access in their cars, according to tweets posted by Tesla founder Elon Musk. Tesla Theater was introduced in the V10 software update that rolled out in September. It added streaming media from Netflix and YouTube, as well as Tesla vehicle feature tutorials.

Before Christmas, Tesla also issued a new software update that added Twitch to Tesla Theater. It included support for the game Stardew Valley, the ability to save dashcam video clips whenever drivers honk the horn, and support for voice commands, among others.

Canal Plus offers French youth discounted bundle with Netflix included

Canal Plus has added a new discounted package to its existing special offer for the youth market. French customers aged between 18 and 25 can now take advantage of a digital subscription to the beefed-up version of the 'Cine Series' add-on, combined with the Canal+ channel, for EUR 24.95/month. The standard price of this bundle, launched on 15 October, is EUR 34.90/month and includes access to Netflix's mid-tier 'Standard' plan.

Canal Plus to carry Disney+ in exclusive distribution deal in France

French broadcaster Canal Plus has strengthened its distribution partnership with Disney with a new deal, which will enable the pay-TV operator to carry Disney's popular channels (Disney and Disney Junior) on an exclusive basis. In an interview with Les Echos, Canal Plus CEO Maxime Saada said that the new agreement includes streaming service Disney+, confirming earlier press reports.

Disney+ to launch in Netherlands, Canada, Australia, NZ in November

Disney announced that its new subscription streaming service Disney+ will also launch in Canada, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand in November, alongside the US. The company also announced which devices will support delivery of the streaming service, saying it has reached global agreements with nearly all the major platforms to distribute the Disney+ app. The service is expected to roll out in most major markets within the next two years.

Disney has appointed Luke Bradley-Jones to run the Disney Plus streaming service in Europe and Africa. He will take up the new role in early-2020. The Disney Plus service is scheduled to launch in the US in November, rolling out to Europe later in 2019 and worldwide by end-2021.
