Verizon brings 5G to more cities, starts pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy S10 5G
Verizon has opened pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G and announced it will be bringing its 5G mobile service to 20 more cities.

The phone will be available exclusively for a limited time and come with a number of promotions. It will be available in Crown Silver and Verizon-exclusive Majestic Black with the 256 GB version priced at USD 54.16 per month on a 24 month contract and with Verizon Device Payment (USD 1,299.99 retail value) and the 512 GB version going for USD 58.33 per month under the same conditions (USD 1,399.99). The phones will come to Verizon stores on 16 May.

Promotions for up to USD 650 off per phone

New and existing customers will be able to trade in an eligible smartphone and get USD 450 off the price. People switching to Verizon will be able to get an additional USD 200 prepaid Mastercard off the phone if they sign up for a payment plan and Verizon Unlimited. Finally, customers who pre-order the new Galaxy will get a free VIP Kit with a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds and a Samsung Wireless Charging Battery Pack.

Verizon’s 5G service is available only on Above and Beyond Unlimited plans, with a 5G phone. The access fee for the service will be waived for a limited time, worth up to USD 10 per month. Both the Above and Beyond Unlimited come with unlimited 5G data, hotspot and 4K HD video streaming, on compatible devices in a 5G area. Business customers are also eligible to preorder the Galaxy S10 5G.

The next cities to get 5G include Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Des Moines, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Little Rock, Memphis, Phoenix, Providence, San Diego, Salt Lake City and Washington DC. They will join Chicago and Minneapolis, where the service launched earlier this month. The company will announce more cities later. Its aim is to bring 5G to over 30 cities.
