Out of the 15 Western European countries examined, Belgium offered the most choices of different packages for consumers, the Netherlands ranked second. Also, Triple Play flat-rate still offered the best price/speed deal, offering a 9% higher price with a 39% higher speed than average. Consumers continued to be best off with an FTTx connection, where available, offering an average price per Mbps of EUR 0.71 compared to EUR 2.26 per Mbps for ADSL. Since Q1 2011 Sweden, France, Portugal still offer the lowest price per Mbps and Germany now also offered an average price per Mbps below EUR 1.00.
