AIS offers to match Jasmine bid for 900 MHz licence
Advance Wireless Network, a subsidiary of Thai mobile operator AIS, has proposed buying the 900 MHz spectrum licence left after Jasmine international was unable to raise financing for its winning bid in last year's auction. AWN said it would pay the same as Jasmine bid, at THB 75.654 billion, The Nation reports. The government previously said it planned to re-auction the spectrum. The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission submitted AWN's request to the government for consideration. AIS participated in the 900 MHz auction last year, but was outbid by Jasmine and True.
