Brussels, federal govt agree to new radiation standards

The Belgian federal government has signed an agreement with the regional government of the Brussels region, making it possible for operators to deploy 4G networks in the region, L'Echo reported. The rules will likely go into effect from January. The norm of 3 volts per second will be kept but will now apply per technology package (2G, 3G, 4G). Compliance will be calculated by location, cumulating the waves emitted by the different operator antennas. A permanent group of scientific experts, health economists and technicians will monitor developments and report annually to regional policy
