Cologne and Dusseldorf set to become Unitymedia's next Gigabit Cities

German cable operator and Liberty Global subsidiary Unitymedia announced that Cologne and Dusseldorf are set to become the next Gigabit Cities as part of the company's Gigabit City initiative at the 2018 ANGA COM in Cologne. The two cities in North Rhine-Westphalia will follow Bochum and Frankfurt as Unitymedia's flagship projects for its gigabit roll out, with the first households and companies in Cologne and Dusseldorf set to have access to internet at speeds over 1 Gbps by December 2018.
