Deutsche Telekom relaxes fixed broadband data caps

Deutsche Telekom has responded to growing customer concern by modifying the planned changes to its fixed-line broadband tariff structure from 2016. Customers who use up their allocated monthly data allowance, who do not book add-on data packages nor use a flat-rate, will see their bandwidth reduced to 2 Mbps for the rest of the month. Telekom had previously planned to restrict bandwidth to 384 kbps from 2016. The new limit will also apply for contracts signed since 02 May.
