Etisalat Misr launches Intel smartphone
Egyptian mobile operator Etisalat Misr has announced the Etisalat E-20 smartphone with Intel Inside. The handset will be available at all Etisalat stores across Egypt. It comes equipped with the Intel Atom Z2420 processor with Intel Hyper-Threading Technology and speeds of up to 1.2 GHz. The Android device supports fast web browsing and multimedia capabilities, including 1080p HD video capture and a 5 megapixel camera with advanced imaging capabilities. The device is housed in a compact design and features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, support for FM radio, an expandable memory slot and HSPA+ modem support with Intel's XMM 6265 modem for global roaming.

Acer has introduced the Liquid C1 in Thailand. The phone features the Intel Atom processor Z2420, Android ICS, 4GB storage, a 4.3-inch touchscreen and an 8-megapixel camera. It's priced at THB 9,990. Acer plans to boost its market share in Thailand to 10 percent this year and believes the mid-tier smartphone sector will be high growth area this year, the Bangkok Post writes citing Nitipat Praweenwongwuthi, senior marketing manager of Acer Thailand.
