Facebook intros new company logo to differentiate company from apps

Facebook has introduced a new company logo, with an all-caps design in a new font to set apart the company from its main social networking app. The new logo will also feature in its other apps and products, including Instagram, WhatsApp and Oculus, with the addition of a more prominent 'made by Facebook' tagline. The Facebook app will keep its own branding. 

Facebook started earlier this year including the company name on other products as part a wider integration of its apps. Over the coming weeks, the company will start using the new brand within all its products and marketing materials, including a new company website. This will include the 'from Facebook' line on the welcome and settings screens of WhatsApp and Instagram.
